Bio
Robert Henke is a Berlin-based computer music artist working across audiovisual installation, music and performance, and has recorded as Monolake since 1995, a project that began as a duo with Gerhard Behles. Henke was one of the main creators of the music software Ableton Live and has taught at the Berlin University of the Arts, Stanford's CCRMA and IRCAM in Paris. Henke's installations and concerts have been presented at Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou and festivals including Unsound, CTM, MUTEK and Sónar. Among the performance works is Dust, a multichannel granular synthesis performance evolving since 2011 that shreds textural sounds, polyrhythmic loops and harmonic drones into microscopic particles.
